Project Idea

This project is about developing a training programme for in-service teachers. This training programme will combine new teaching methods in two fields: Teachers will be trained to foster their students' language acquisition and learning, at the same time, the teachers will be provided with new insights into how to link their language instruction and promotion with education for democratic citizenship. So education for democratic citizenship will be enriched by providing in-service trainers with a methodology and with instruments on the linguistic side that will make it easier for them to include all their students in exercises on how democracy may be acted out.
